Construction of the Saemangeum Bridge in South Korea is making progress!

A few months ago, we promised to keep you updated on the construction progress of the beautiful Saemangeum Bridge. Work is progressing well, already 164 stay cables have been installed out of 192 in total. All the stay cables should be installed by the end of 2022.

From January 2023 we will start the prestressing and finishing works, including the dampers.
As a reminder, the bridge is located on the coast of the Yellow Sea in South Korea. The concrete cable-stayed bridge is built with a main span of 770m.

Did you know that this is the first time in the history of cable-stayed bridges that 2160 MPa steel strands are used? All the components of our stay cable system have been re-engineered for this new use, which pushes performance further.
